Whole Person Healing

Who is ideal for whole-person healing:

  • A trauma survivor

  • Someone with severe depression/anxiety

  • Someone either in early or sustained recovery from a substance use issue

  • Someone with food issues, obesity and/or body image issues

  • Someone wanting to make a complete life transformation (change your physical, emotional, spiritual health, change your mindset and lifestyle)

  • Someone who needs a push - a motivator, coach or inspiration

There are quite a few ideas about what whole person healing is, here is my approach:

Whole-person therapy comes from the approach that you are made up of interdependent parts and if one part is not working properly, all the other parts will be affected, creating an imbalance. Our goal is to engage and develop the WHOLE PERSON, taking in account spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, social factors in your treatment.

We believe you are a person, made in the image of God. You are not a disease.

You and I work together to find the best plan for your goals.  We will work out a clear path and will continually evaluate and re-assess as you grow, heal and change.

  • Emotional: learn how to regulate strong emotions such as fear, shame and anger.  Change your perception of yourself, your body

  • Physical: teach & practice a resistance-based approach to exercise.  Full access to a private and fully equipped fitness studio.  You will learn HOW to workout and feel confident to walk into any gym.

  • Nutritional: a personalized nutrition plan, created by a nutrition expert.  A common sense, simple macro-based plan based on your dietary needs/requirements, lifestyle and taste palate.

  • Spiritual teach & practice the functional understanding of how you are made, learn how to experience God, His presence & healing power

What specific modalities are used? It depends - we will work together to find what works best with your health, lifestyle & time comittment:

  • Cognitive-Behavioral: change how you think & perceive the world. Identifying lies and beliefs that can come from influences in our environment. Being intentional and adjusting our brain to think in new and different ways

  • Internal Family Systems:  Become curious about the different parts that make us unique. Discover and heal broken and scared parts that experienced trauma and other events that causes our nervous system to overload

  • Somatic Work: Release stored & trapped energy in the body and help you find awareness in the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations.  This can be done through yoga, mindfulness, mediation, dance among other movement based activities

  • EMDR - or other traumatic memory healing method (after full evaluation & comittment to treatment)

  • Physical & Nutritional: teach & practice a resistance-based approach to exercise & follow a personalized nutrition plan

  • Spiritual: teach & practice the functional understanding of how you are made, learn how to experience God, His presence & healing power

A good faith estimate will be prepared prior to finalizing your plan (more about a good faith estimate HEREPrice is individually prepared and is dependent on amount of services selected.  I am happy to discuss in detail during your 15 minute telehealth consultation (no cost)
